Elissa graduated from
Schenectady High School in 2005, where she rowed for three years.
After
high school, she attended Mount Holyoke College. She graduated in
2009 with a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Exercise and Sport
Studies. She was a four-year member of Mount Holyoke's varsity crew
team.
Elissa has spent the past four summers sculling competitively. In
2006, 2007, and 2008, she rowed with the USRowing Under-23
Development Camp in Boston. The following summer, she rowed in NYC
with the New York Athletic Club. During that time, she raced at Club
Nationals four times, and the Canadian Henley twice.
She started with Shen Crew in the fall of 2009, and is excited to
help the novice boys learn to love rowing as much as she does!
