College Resources

Want to row or cox at college?  First, set up a profile at beRecuited.com.   Second, female rowers should enroll with NCAA.  The link is on www.ncaastudent.org  Rowing for men is not a NCAA sport.

Juniors should be actively looking at schools with their major and rowing.  Some schools have rowing as a Varsity Sport and others have Club Rowing Teams.  An easy way to find colleges with rowing is to look at the results from prior races on www.row2k.com or www.regattacentral.com  Some of the larger races to look at are the Head of the Charles and the Dad Vail Regatta.  Once you find a school with your major and rowing, request information from the coach or admissions office.  Ideally, you want to be on that schools rowing “radar” by July 1st, 2014  This is the date most coaches can begin making calls to the rowers.

If you have information to share, please send it to Laura McClendon  shaanandlaura@earthlink.net
