Kevin Murphy - Ghost in the Machine: The Coxswain
Haven't read through the full article yet, but did skim through. Looks like there is some very good and VERY detailed information here. I suggest reading it when you get a chance, but it is not a short read. I will also update my opinions on here once I have read it.

The 9th Seat
This is a great website with extremely good information. I found a few key highlight articles and linked to them.

HOCR 101 - (Will be discussed at coxswain class Monday)
I recommend all coxswains to read at least the warm up section of this article. Very good information on how to be prepared for races in general. I highly recommend this article about the Charles for any coxswain wanting to race there this year. It does a great job of explaining exactly how to cox the Charles starting with the warm up.

Tips on Racing
This article has some extremely good tips for race day. I highly recommend all coxswains to read this.

Practice is heating up!
A great article that explains the coxswains role in maintaining team culture. It also gives tips on how to make your way to being top coxswain.

Know your audience
This article has some extremely good tips for race day. I highly recommend all coxswains to read this.

Got Rhythm?
This was a very good article about learning how to get rhythm written by Bryan Volpenhein (Stroke seat of the U.S. Men's olympic gold medal 8+ in 2004). Great read for your rowers too, so suggest it to your rowers. If you read this, try to think about what you can do to help rowers find a good rhythm.
